children, impulse control, affect awareness and tolerance, behavior
management, empathy training, social skill development and relationship
building.
Program Components
- Individual and family therapy
- Peer groups, focusing on building self-esteem and social skills
- Individualized behavior modification plans
- A safe and structured treatment environment where each child can practice
using alternate responses to real life situations
- A wide variety of therapeutic activities at the After School Program that encourage
self-expression, self-awareness, individuation, and communicate
acceptance and belonging
- Relationship enhancement training for families
Individual Client Plans
Children are individually assessed upon referral to Tapestry. Based on each
child's unique needs, we design a treatment plan that identifies
self-defeating behaviors, collaboratively sets treatment goals and
objectives, engages the child in a treatment environment and builds
on the child's strengths.
